Emergency Lighting Testing

Yearly Testing

Annual tests are needed to be carried out to ensure each lights last’s a minimum of a three-hour duration so it’s important to have this test carried out to protect yourself and other members.

We can carry out this test at a time that suits you or your business, whether it’s in or out of hours we can work around your requirements to ensure you emergency lighting is in perfect condition.

We will provide you with all the legal documentation to keep on file.

Monthly Testing

We recommend that a monthly test is carried out on your emergency lights, whilst the yearly test will show that your lights are working it is highly recommended every month the lights are tested and left to drain the batteries, this will increase the lifetime of the light fittings.

Installation Condition Reports EICR

EICR is also known as a fixed wire test / periodic inspection report

This allows you to have an understanding on the condition of the electrical installation within your premises.

This is one of the most important parts of the building maintenance that is required, we will provide you with certification showing all results, if the report is shown as unsatisfactory we will provide a list of works required / recommended in detail.

In a commercial property this test is carried out every five years to inspect 100% of the installation

To receive a satisfactory certificate you will need to comply with the codes as mentioned below

  • C1 – Danger is present – risk of injury and immediate action is required
  • C2 – Potential dangerous defect with the electrical system and urgent corrective work is required
  • C3 – Improvement is recommended
  • FI – This observation code means Further Investigation, this means the an issue found requires looking into in more depth.

Fire Alarm Servicing

Fire alarm servicing is carrying out maintenance on your system to ensure it complies with the design

A fire alarm service generally includes the following

  • Checks to power supplies and batteries
  • Checking the functions on the alarm panel
  • Testing smoke detectors and heat detectors
  • Visual inspection of equipment
  • Manual call point checks
